VISA Information

If you are coming to Japan from overseas, please check if you need a VISA or not on the following web site:

The documents listed below (referred to as VISA support documents on this site) are to be submitted for a VISA application:

The SIGIR-AP2024 Organizing Committee will prepare and send the above documents upon request from participants.

NOTE:

The VISA Support can be requested by a participant after the conference registration is complete and the registration confirmation mail has been received.
The SIGIR-AP 2024 Organizing Committee does not provide any guarantee as to the obtaining of a VISA by using the VISA Support.
It may take months to acquire a VISA. The Organizing Committee strongly recommend to start the VISA application process as soon as possible.

NOTE: Please make sure that you have the following as you will need them during the application.

(Outwards) Flight number, Depart City, Arrival City
(Return) Flight number, Depart City, Arrival City
Name of Embassy or Consulate
Registration number (denoted as ‘Number’ in the Payvent registration confirmation email)
A copy of the photo page of your valid passport to upload
EasyChair submission ID（in case you submitted papers）

Q: Will the registration fee be refunded if I cannot obtain VISA and cancel the registration?
A: If you report that to the organizers by the early registration deadline, the registration fee will be refunded after deducting a commission of 6%.
Q: Do you charge for the VISA support service?
A: No.
