The ACM SIGIR Conference on Information Retrieval in the Asia Pacific, SIGIR-AP, is an annual ACM-sponsored international forum that promotes and disseminates information retrieval research and development within the Asia-Pacific region. The region is broadly defined to include Asia, Australasia, and the islands of the Pacific and Indian Oceans.
Since its launch in Beijing in 2023, followed by Tokyo in 2024 and Xi'an in 2025, SIGIR-AP has established itself as a vibrant regional venue for high-quality research in information retrieval, search, recommendation, data mining, natural language processing, machine learning, human-computer interaction, and related areas.
SIGIR-AP 2026 will continue this mission by bringing together leading researchers, students, practitioners, and industry partners from across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.
