presentation instructions

While SIGIR-AP wishes to always permit online attendance, we also acknowledge that in-person presentations are more rewarding for both the presenter and the audience. We accordingly request that at least one author of each accepted paper make reasonable efforts to attend either the conference in Beijing, or the satellite venue in Melbourne. If no author of a paper is able to attend either of those two venues in person, please make a remote presentation request to the chairs (lc2023@sigir-ap.org), explaining the circumstances that apply. These requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Each accepted paper has an oral presentation slot AND a poster presentation slot during the conference. Both presentations are required.

Except for papers less than 6 pages at submission time (listed below), each presenter (both SIGIR-AP 2023 and TOIS papers) needs to prepare for a 12-minute presentation and a 3-minute Q&A. For papers less than 6 pages, each presenter needs to prepare for a 5-minute presentation and a 2-minute Q&A.

All accepted SIGIR-AP 2023 papers are required prepare a portrait poster (in PDF format) with size 1.2m x 0.9m. If you would like the conference management team to help you print and carry your poster to the conference, please submit your poster through this link before November 19th, or you will need to bring your poster to the conference room by yourself.

The authors of TOIS papers are also welcome for poster presentation, but please let us know if you would like to do a poster presentation and submit you poster(in PDF format) through this link before November 19th, or we cannot prepare extra slots in the conference room for your poster.

The conference timetable can be found here.
