3rd International ACM SIGIR Conference on Information Retrieval in the Asia Pacific
December 7-10, 2025, Xi'an, China
The annual SIGIR-AP conference is an annual ACM-sponsored international forum that promotes and disseminates information retrieval research and development within the Asia-Pacific region defined as all of Asia, Australasia, and the islands of the Pacific and Indian Oceans. The 1st and 2nd ACM SIGIR-AP conferences were held in Beijing in November 2023 and in Tokyo in December 2024, respectively. Following their success, the 3rd ACM SIGIR-AP conference (SIGIR-AP 2025) will be held in Xi'an from the 7th to the 10th of December 2025. The conference welcomes variable-length contributions related to any aspect of information retrieval and access. Tutorials will be given on Day 1, and the main conference will be held on Days 2-4; a few workshops will be held on Day 4 as well.
FeaturesSIGIR-AP 2025 will continue to be a hybrid conference, providing both in-person and remote participation options, including support for remote presentations. As in previous years, a satellite venue will be available outside China (location TBD). You can join us in Xi'an, at the satellite venue, or from anywhere else in the world. Another unique aspect of SIGIR-AP is the SIGIR Revise-and-Resubmit (R&R) submission track. Authors of papers rejected from SIGIR can revise their work based on reviewer feedback and submit them to SIGIR-AP, accompanied by a detailed explanation of how the comments were addressed. This year, we also welcome submissions through the R&R track from papers rejected by ICTIR.
