REGISTRATION FOR SIGIR-AP 2025 IS NOW OPEN!
SIGIR-AP 2025 is committed to fostering international collaboration and ensuring accessibility for participants from around the world. To this end, we have streamlined the registration process to accommodate both international and domestic attendees, offering the convenience of paying in two widely accepted currencies: USD (United States Dollar) for international registration and RMB (Chinese Renminbi) for domestic registration.
Please note that at least one author of each accepted paper is required to register and present the paper at the conference. (We do allow one author to cover and present multiple papers - no need to pay multiple registration fees, but need to pay multiple publication fees in such a case.)
SIGIR-AP 2025 is a hybrid conference allowing all registrants to choose to attend the event virtually or in person. In-person presentations are more rewarding for both the presenter and the audience. We accordingly request that at least one author of each accepted paper make reasonable efforts to attend the conference in Xi'an. If no author of a paper is able to attend in person, please make a remote presentation request to the Conference Chairs, explaining the circumstances that apply. These requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
REGISTRATION FEES
SIGIR-AP 2025 provides two types of registration, as listed below:

Full Passport: Full access to all conference events and services, including tutorials and workshops.

Workshop only: A banquet ticket and access to the last-day conference, including workshops.
SIGIR-AP 2025 provides registration discounts depending on your status and registration date, as listed below:

Early Bird: People who register before the early-bird deadline (10/19/2025 AoE) will receive this discount.

Online: Discounts apply if you plan to attend the conference virtually.

ACM Member: Valid ACM members who register for the conference will receive this discount. Please be sure to register using the email address associated with your ACM membership account to receive the member discount.

Student: Students who register for the conference will receive this discount. To get this discount, you are required to submit your scanned student ID card on the registration form.

REGISTRATION PORTAL
The registration portals are listed below. Please note that:
- Student Travel Grant: If you are applying for a SIGIR student travel grant, please refrain from registering until the results are announced. Successful applicants will receive personalized registration instructions at a later date. For more information, visit the SIGIR student travel grant page.
- Tutorial and Workshop authors: Tutorial authors will receive one complimentary full-conference registration, and workshop organizers will receive two. Please contact registration2025@sigir-ap.org to specify who will use the free registration and provide their email address.
- ACM Membership: ACM members, please ensure that you register using the email address associated with your ACM membership account to receive the member discount.
- VISA Support Letter: Individuals who need a Chinese visa can request a visa support letter from ACM after registering through the international registration portal. Alternatively, you can obtain an invitation letter from the conference organizers by contacting registration2025@sigir-ap.org, providing your full name, gender, date of birth, passport number, and institution.
- Registration Confirmation: International participants will receive a confirmation email upon successful payment, while domestic participants will receive a confirmation email once their registration is successfully verified.
- Invoice: An electronic invoice for the registration fee will be emailed to you within 5 business days after the event. Participants registering through the domestic portal will receive an official VAT invoice (Fapiao), while those registering through the international portal will receive an invoice/receipt.
CANCELLATION POLICY
No refunds except in the case of visa denial. If your visa is denied, you will be refunded the full registration amount less a $50 processing fee.
HOTEL RESERVATION
